Measure 2.1. Tourism development

The overall objective of the project is to improve the efficiency of cooperation between 4 partners of the Action in order to maintain and promote the common cultural heritage of the north-eastern part of Poland and Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.

Main estimated results of the project are as follows:

  • Strengthening of the cooperation between three regional governments, one non-profit organization and 18 educational institutions form partner regions in the field of historical heritage by co-financing of two Polish-Russian application forms in the area of preservation or promotion of it.
     
  • Cooperation network between two neighbour states in producing and promoting cross-border tourist trails created through developing of new tourist product connecting the north-eastern part of Poland with Kaliningrad region.
     
  • Strengthening and expanding the knowledge of the youngest residents of the partner regions about the history of their country and its neighbour by working out one Polish-Russian application form concerning mutual undertakings for children and youth from partner regions.
     
  • Two tourist offers developed for Polish travel agencies in form of tourist trails (part of complete routes).
