Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 BW



On November 25th 2014 the Fifth Programme Annual Conference of the Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013 was held. It was organized in order to summarize work of the Programme and its Beneficiaries and Partners in 2014, to define perspectives of further cooperation of three countries in 2015, to inform about successful implementation of the projects and future perspectives of the Programme.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of Joint Managing Authority (Poland), National Authorities, Programme Beneficiaries, Partners and their representatives. More than 120 participants took part in this annual event. The conference was organised by Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme together with its Branch Office from Kaliningrad, Russia.

At the beginning, after warm welcome speeches of the representatives of the Programme, National Authorities as well as Joint Managing Authority the Head of the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme Ms. Małgorzata Woźniak informed about achievements of the Programme, promotional events in 2014, plans for the future. Later the Beneficiaries and Partners of 4 projects (181, 060, 030 and LSP 004) introduced participants of the conference with their project activities, implemented events and gathered experience in the form of short visual presentations.

Mr. Oleg Povzhik, who represented the Beneficiary from one of the large scale infrastructural project LPR/LSP/010/004 “Reconstruction of the section of the motor road :Kaliningrad – Mamonovo II – state border of the Poland Republic ” took the floor to familiarize the audience with implemented activities of the project – reconstruction of roadway on 25.0 – 38.8 km and construction of new bridge on 22.6 km.

The representative of the Lithuanian Beneficiary of the project LPR1/010/181 “Baltic Tourist Games - know-how for the development of tourism potential of Baltic Region”, which is dedicated to development of sport and active tourism in the region of cross-border cooperation, Ms. Renata Bertyzite informed participants of the conference about organized Tourist Olympic Games and other activities of the project.

The coordinator of cultural and touristic project LPR1/010/060 “Museums over borders” from Elbląg (Poland) Ms. Agnieszka Sławińska in her turn presented accomplishments of the project from its both sides – in Poland and Russia (Kaliningrad Region) – reconstruction of museum buildings, purchase of museum showpieces, and creation of unique holographic hall and educational film.

Ms. Ludmila Siglaeva, the head of the project on renovation of the building of the Ambulance sub-station "Development of modern ambulance station based on the reconstruction of infrastructure, increase of medical assistance and experience in cross-border cooperation region" (LPR1/010/030), informed about development of successful partner relationships between Russian and  Polish sides within the limits of joint seminars and trainings.

After official part of the event the participants had unique occasion to see the effects of one of the implemented within the Lithuania-Poland–Russia ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013 project “Museums over borders” and visited the Friedland Gate Museum premises. During this visit everybody could see and touch the reconstructed museum buildings, museum showpieces, and watch the unique holographic movie in the new built hall.

Taking this opportunity we would like to thank all the conference speakers for their professional presentations and great input into the conference. Due to their active presence the conference was a successful meeting showing the stage of implementation of the Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI CBC Programme 2007-2013. Our special words we address to the Friedland Gate Museum, which showed us how impressive effects can bring the EU money put in the well implemented project . We are looking forward to see you all next year during next Annual Conference of the Programme!
