CORRECT ANSWERS OF LITHUANIA’S NEIGHBOURHOOD TEST IN THE LITHUANIAN PRESS AND THE WINNERS

In the beginning of May 2015 the Vilnius Branch Office of the Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 announced the Lithuania’s Neighbourhood Test in seven regional newspapers of Lithuania.


We are announcing the correct answers of the test:

Question 1: What event has not been organised by the projects of the Programme?

• International symposium of tourism specialists in Druskininkai (project LPR1/010/056)

N.B. The projects of the Programme organised these events:

• The romance song evenings at the Russian orthodox church of Jurbarkas Vasilchikoff Manor (project LPR1/010/038)

• Tourist Olympic Games in Palanga (project LPR1/010/181)

Question 2: Which project event was visited by the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė?

• Days of Jurbarkas 2014 (project LPR1/010/038)

Question 3: What is the longest infrastructure object funded by the European Union under the Programme?

• Water provision and sewage pipeline in Ąžuolų Būda, Kazlų Rūda municipality of Lithuania and Olecko municipality of Poland (project LPR1/010/106)

N.B. Two shorter objects that were created by the projects of the Programme:

• Road to the new bridge over the river Nemunas in Panemunė (project LPR/LSP/010/007)

• Bicycle path Tauragė-Tauragė Convention Memorial (project LPR1/010/185)

Question 4: What is the largest building constructed or modernised by projects?

• Universal sports hall in Palanga (project LPR1/010/181)

N.B. Two smaller buildings that were renovated by the projects of the Programme:

• Pagėgiai Tourism Information Centre in Vilkyškiai (project LPR1/010/040)

• St. Virgin Mary Church in Kalvarija (project LPR1/010/150)

Question 5: What is the largest open-air object constructed or renovated under by projects?

• Šilalė city stadium (project LPR1/010/019)

N.B. Two smaller objects that were built or renovated by the projects of the Programme:

• Ethnographic fisherman’s mansion in Nida (project LPR1/010/001)

• An open-air model of historic Tilsit in Sovetsk, Russia (project LPR1/010/185)

Question 6: What “time-machine” has not been created by the projects?

• An old Curonian boat reconstructed in Rusnė (project LPR1/010/003)

N.B. The projects of the Programme created these “time-machines”:

• A historic train carriage-shaped room at Pagėgiai Tourism Information Centre in Vilkyškiai (project LPR1/010/040)

• Verona town installation in the trilingual performance at the Klaipėda Musical Theatre (project LPR1/010/098)

Question 7: What modern equipment has not been purchased by projects?

• Modern GPS system used by Jurbarkas police (project LPR/LSP/010/001)

N.B. The following equipment was purchased thanks to the projects of the Programme:

• Modern medical equipment used in Marijampolė and Tauragė hospitals? (project LPR1/010/148)

• Modern x-ray scanning equipment used by Kaunas and Klaipėda customers (project LPR1/010/174)
