Lithuania-Poland-Russia ENPI Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 BW


Project “Construction of Sport-Recreational Complex in Special School-Educational Center in Węgorzewo” was prepared by Węgorzewski Poviat (Poland) in cooperation with administration of Ozersk municipal district (Russia) and submitted under the Priority 2, measure 2.2 Development of human potential by improvement of social conditions governance and educational opportunities. Project total eligible budget equals to 593 727.31 Euro, 534 354.58 Euro will be provided by the ENPI CBC Lithuania-Poland-Russia Programme.

Project activities starts on 1st of November 2012. During 22 months of project implementation beneficiary and its partner plans to realize two forms of activities. Infrastructural part of the project foresees the construction of the sport-recreational complex in Węgorzewo (Poland) while its soft part consists of several sport and recovery related events which will be implemented in both countries of the project. Generally project is aimed at development of the human potential by improvement of social conditions and equalization of educational opportunities of Węgorzewski Poviat (Poland) and Ozersk region (Russia). Especially, it is to improve the conditions of teaching and conducting of sport lessons and organizing of integrative events resulting from improved educational infrastructure by establishment new sport facilities in Węgorzewo (Poland) and to strengthen the trans-border cooperation and experience exchange between educational institutions of Poland and Russia. In details the actions of the project can be listed as follows:

1. Construction of a sport hall with 507.31 m2 floorage with gymnasium pitch, auxiliary rooms (change room, shower room, toilets, locker room, vestibules) and physical education classroom.

2. Construction of a football pitch of 720 m2 in area with natural grass surface on paved and grained ground.

3. Construction of a multifunctional pitch of 364 m2 in area with polyurethane surface laid on paved ground.

4. Arrangement of the area around the complex by modernization of transport routs, landscape gardening and fencing.

5. Equipment of the gym with necessary gymnastic apparatuses and sport accessories.

6. Organization of rehabilitation camps for 50 people from Ozersk district (Russia) with participation of 10 teachers of the Centers of Uszakowo (Russia) and Węgorzewo (Poland). The camp will take 14 days and include work with pupils in newly constructed sport-recreational center in Węgorzewo.

7. Organization of sport-recreational competitions for 100 participants from both partner countries. One competition will be held in Węgorzewo the other on Ozersk or Uszakowo.

8. Organization of training for teachers from Poland and Russia with general number of participants of 40 people with equal share for each project partner country.

9. Planned promotional actions will clearly specify received financial support from EU, regarding all documents and letters connected with the project and all promotional materials. All promotional measures will be aimed on improvement of awareness of target groups and final beneficiaries of the project on possibilities of getting EU co-financing for implementation of different socially oriented projects.
